Types of tuition waivers available at Appalachian State University
Faculty/Staff Tuition Waivers are approved by the employee's institution Human Resources Department. The Appalachian State University Office of Student Accounts applies the approved waiver to the account and confirms that participants from other institutions are not receiving waivers that exceed NC General Statute or our guidelines for implementing the program. Any appeals regarding the approval of your waiver should be directed to the Appalachian State Human Resources Office or if the participant is from another institution, then contact the Office of Student Accounts. It is the participant's responsibility to be aware of the guidelines for utilizing waivers that the institution where classes are being taken.
